Max Catto's Mister Moses became the 1965 film of the same name, directed by Ronald Neame and starring Robert Mitchum, Carroll Baker, Ian Bannen, Alexander Knox, and Raymond St. Jacques. Other films based on Catto's novels include TRAPEZE (1956), FIRE DOWN BELOW (1957), SEVEN THIEVES (1960), THE DEVIL AT 4 O'CLOCK (1961) and MURPHY'S WAR (1971).
