Leo Rosten wrote the original stories for the film noirs THE DARK CORNER (1946) and WHERE DANGER LIVES (1950), as well as the novels that SLEEP, MY LOVE (1948) and CAPTAIN NEWMAN, M.D. (1963) were based on, but the film adaptation of his 1979 private detective novel Silky! was never produced.
